Volunteer at the Topanga Banjo•Fiddle Contest

We need your help!

Volunteers are the backbone of the Topanga Banjo•Fiddle Contest. Without volunteers, the event could not be held. If you volunteer, admission to the event is free!

Early volunteer and board member Mary Ellen Clark

Topanga Banjo•Fiddle Contest volunteers work before, during and after the event, at 26 different jobs. Last year we had about 130 volunteers on the event day itself. As a volunteer, you'll work for two or more hours and then you're free to enjoy the rest of the day on your own. Many other volunteers work weeks or months in advance of the contest at various tasks.

We truly appreciate your valuable time and contribution and try our best to assign shift times that work best with your schedule. If possible, we ask that you please be flexible in accepting your assignment, as there are times when we have too many volunteers for some assignments and not enough for others. Some of our volunteers even work one job and then switch to other jobs during the day. Many of the same volunteers come year after year, renewing skills and old friendships. It's fun to see folks helping each other and working to make this event possible.
